Time for a tan…

I have tried to have as much fun as possible this summer while still working my tail end off. It seems like I am doing a pretty good job. July has been a busy month and I am so excited and much in need of a break. I will be out of the office until Tuesday, August 10. I will return all e-mails and phone messages at that time.

I wanted to leave you with a little something to look forward to. Here is some of what you will see when I get back… (leave a comment to enter into a drawing for a gift from my trip)!

I have had the best summer… I get anxiety every time I look at my calender and realize how fast time is going. I am so not ready to see summer flying by my eyes. My family is having a blast and have some really fun things planed.

I adore this cute little family. I went to High School with Aaron, and I wish that they lived closer because I have so much fun every time I see MeKell. I can’t believe this sweet baby is already 1 year old. He melts me with how adorable he is. I could have taken him home with me. And these two are so attentive and just such awesome parents.

I am working like a crazy girl lately. Even though it has been horrible weather, we have still done a couple of shoots, and I have been designing albums, and ordering albums and prints and canvas wraps. Today I did 3 consultations! I have been on the go! Tomorrow morning I start shooting the fabulous Shoni and Clint at 6:00 in the morning. It is going to be a fantastic wedding! I have so many posts to put up if I can just get to them !!! I am hoping to hit the blog hard next week. Have a wonderful weekend and here is one more picture for you…

While we were doing Karalee and Dixon’s formals I turned around and Dixon’s parents were standing there holding their props. One of my favorite shots from the day! AND, what do you know, it was not even a shot gun wedding (bud dum ching)! Later.

I am hoping that we had the last winter snowstorm, and so I had to get out there this weekend and get some family pictures taken. It is NOT my favorite thing to do. My 2 year old is SOOO a 2 year old, and my 6 year old thinks that it is so funny to pull funny faces. OH IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL! Maybe that is why I only do weddings – I can not handle the kid thing! I am super impatient!

Anyway, a BIG thank you to our friend Mark who did our pics. He did a fantastic job and was so good with our kids. I owe you Mark!!!

Here are the highlights! I am hoping for a “perfect” family picture one day. I am just going to have to wait until my kiddos get a bit older!

Many of you have met Celeste. She is the newest member of the Moments By Kellee team. She is doing amazing candid work, but has an absolute passion for Family Photography. She is going to be specializing in family’s and is in the middle of training. Last week we went out together and shot this absolutly beautiful family. It is a surprise gift for “dad”! There were literally dozens of shots that were amazing. This is one that Celeste sent me this morning and I had to share it!

Best Friends

As I announced a few weeks ago I am no longer doing any family photography. That has proven to be a great choice for me this fall! I am so busy and working what feels like night and day to make sure all of my brides are taken care of. It has been a good thing so far for me and for my business!

HOWEVER, you have to make an exception once and a while. This is my best friend in the whole world. We live next door to each other and Dan and I have been good friends with BJ and Stacee for about 9 years now. I had to take their cute families pictures last night. We had a great time (when I say “we” I am not referring to BJ – he did not love it!) and their kids were SOOOOOO good.

Well hello again. It is fun to be making another post. I have had a very busy and productive 2008 so far! I have some great things to share with everyone and so check back to find out what is new with Moments By Kellee in 2008.

I have a friend I have met through Church and she is the cutest lady! She left me a message on my answering machine in December and said that she had a “family picture emergency”. I was almost a little bit scared to call her back to find out what that could have been. When I finally got a hold of her this was the emergency, “my whole family is together for Christmas and I have to get a picture taken!” Really she has a daughter that lives out of the country and so it was a rare opportunity to capture a moment in time!

We met one COLD morning! They were such a fun family to work with and it was like watching a dance to see everyone get ready and file in and out of their cars trying to stay warm while taking turns snapping some photo’s.
