This wedding was, let me see, how can I put it into words? I honestly can’t! It was an incredible location, beautiful people, and out of this world details. I loved every single part of it. I don’t know if I have ever photographed a more beautiful ceremony. The lighting was “lickable”! I could do this every night of the week!

Oh my favorite people. Kelsi and Chris were truly in a class of their own. Most people say that they want to do something fun, and something different, but most weddings are pretty much the same. These two had a mexican theme wedding and every detail was all about fun. ENJOY!

Holy cow I have had a great 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have not had time to blog much, but hang on to your britches, because things will be coming fast. First up, let’s take care of a little business…

While I was away I picked up some YUMMY Mexican Vanilla, which goes to the winner of the contest Marvett Smith. Marvett, thanks for the comment and e-mail me your address and I will ship it right over to you.

I still have one opening for my mommie workshop on the 31st, so if you are interested e-mail me this week.

Ok, now on to this gorgeous wedding. Lindsey and Cory were awesome to work with. I had a BLAST with them. Lindsy could not be more beautiful and I absolutely loved her wedding.

I have tried to have as much fun as possible this summer while still working my tail end off. It seems like I am doing a pretty good job. July has been a busy month and I am so excited and much in need of a break. I will be out of the office until Tuesday, August 10. I will return all e-mails and phone messages at that time.

I wanted to leave you with a little something to look forward to. Here is some of what you will see when I get back… (leave a comment to enter into a drawing for a gift from my trip)!

Megan and Drew Wedding

This weekend was CRAZY! I had a wedding, a party, and family in town, and through it all, I have some pictures to show you but it will be a few days before I can post them. I threw a birthday party for my 8 year old and it was so much fun! I also did some redecorating in my house and want to post some pictures. Not to mention the 8 sessions that I still have not posted. Summer’s are always so busy!

These two are so much fun to be around. I honestly have a hard time staying on task with them because we all just talk non stop! I adore their pictures! Megan is one of those brides that I hope to stay friends with. Such a fun couple!

Now to the reception – it was just so beautiful. Ella Bella did their flowers and decorations. Their food was from culinary concepts. They held their event at the alumni center. Everything was absolutely perfect!

It is funny how people come in and out of your life. Andy, Celeste, my husband Dan, and I all worked together 10 years ago when we were all a bit younger! I ran into him again at the wedding showcase this spring and met his beautiful fiance Tran. They currently live in Texas, but I had the pleasure of being with them on their wedding day. Tran was so beautiful, and so perfect on her wedding day. She was so much fun to photograph. There were too many pictures for just one post, so come back tomorrow to see the rest of the ones I wanted to feature.

Let there be light…

I am constantly working on new things. Trying new techniques, and in the mean time discovering how to better do cool shots. One of the things I have been working on this year has been some new lighting things. If you scroll down through my weddings, I am trying to do something amazing with lighting at each wedding that I do. This week I did an outstanding event at Bear Lake and I just had to show you these two shots. If you know me well, all I have to say is SHUT UP! Both of these are dancing pictures, and both extremely different and using 2 completely different techniques. I would love to know what you think! THIS is why I could do weddings for the rest of my life and never tire myself with it. There is always fun new stuff to do!

Ohh that shot makes me gitty! I love it so much that after I took it I walked around the reception showing people. Funny I know, and I even had to show the bride – I NEVER DO THAT, but I was so in love with it right out of camera that I just couldn’t help it. Celeste was getting just as much enjoyment making fun of me loving the shot and talking to people about it! It was an amazing event. I love this couple so much and will be back with their pictures in a few weeks, but could not help myself with this sneak peak! For now, I am off to another wedding today.
