Here it is 7:30 am and breakfast is brewing, the laundry is running, along with the dish washer. The house is quiet and clean and everyone is still tucked in their warm beds. The sun just popped over the mountains and I can not help but let my eyes constantly wander to the windows. It is a beautiful day and it is going to be a great day. However, it’s over… The fun of summer has come and gone. Part of me is ready to get down to business, literally. But a BIG part of me is so sad to see the end of the most fun summer that my family has ever had. Last night as Dan and I tucked the kids into their snuggly beds, we took turns reminiscing about their favorite parts of the past summer. It was so fun to hear them talk about their favorite parts of the past three months. To see what parts they remembered and what parts they had forgotten. All together it is hard for me to say good bye to it all.
I think that every mother can relate. About 2 weeks ago I was telling by best friend that I just can’t imagine sending my kids back to school. I just don’t want them to leave, and I don’t want it all to be over. About a week later the idea didn’t sound so bad to have some quiet time back in my life. Change in life is a good thing, and all good things must come to an end.

Before I send them out the door, we had to do one back to school photo shoot. We had the BEST time and they were such little angels. On their list of favorites was our “school party” as I called it.
