WOW, what a summer! I feel like it is finally time to take a deep breath. I have had an amazing time and our company has enjoyed so many great shoots. I have photographed some really special and unique events so far this year. Even though fall is not really here I feel like we have made a shift with the start of school. So, it also gives me a chance to catch up with all of my blog readers and let you know what is on the horizon for me and for MBK.
I am so incredibly excited to welcome an office manager to the MBK team. Chelsey will be assisting me in so many ways. My clients will be hearing from her from time to time and she will be helping me to make sure that my clients are taken care of in every single way. We have some fun big projects coming up that she will be crucial in executing. We have a photo shoot of her planned for next month and so I will do a more formal introduction of her at that time.
I am getting ready to announce the fall mentor ship. I have a waiting list, and will be giving them first chance to fill the spots. I am going to do it a bit longer this time (I tried to cram too much in last time). So, I am going to try to do it over a weekend and extended it another day. I will be opening it up to a limited amount of spots. Expect additional information (including dates, and reservation information with full itinerary) about the fall session by Sept 15th to be posted on my blog.
We are doing our sparkler workshop tonight. I will post pictures tomorrow morning. I have 10 photographers signed up to light it up with me! I am hoping for good weather and some good fun!
I will be out of the office MOST of this week and next week. I am finally taking a break… Because I have so many things to get out on my blog my office will be releasing posts throughout the week even though I will not be around. I WILL NOT BE CHECKING MESSAGES OR RETURNING CALLS until I get back on September 3rd.
This week I had 2 very anticipated albums finally arrive. I was SOOOOO excited to get both of them, and had to show you a couple of pictures of Terra and Jodi’s. It is really really beautiful! It is so hard for me to give them away, it is like they are my little babies! Terra was one of those brides (and most of my brides are really like this) that really trusts me and my style. In doing so she gave me free reign on her album to do what I thought would look the best. We ended up with this insane and unique album. It is 6X18 closed and 12X18 open vertical. So beautiful…

Let me know what you think!
